Updated user roles
Role renaming - To improve clarity, the names of user roles at organization level have been updated as follows:
Current name | New name |
---|---|
Organization Admin | Administrator |
Project Admin | Manager |
User | User |
Updated permissions - The “User” role now includes the ability to create Leap Projects, along with adjusted permissions for planning their projects. In summary, the changes are as follows:
“User” (org-level role) abilities:
Abilities | Current permissions | Updated permissions |
---|---|---|
Create Quick Start Project | Yes | Yes |
Create Project | No | Yes |
Browse for Workflow Template | No | Yes |
“User” who is a “Project Owner” (project-level role) abilities:
Abilities | Current permissions | Updated permissions |
---|---|---|
Create a new workflow | Yes | No |
Select a workflow template | Yes | Yes |
Add / remove Flow | Yes | No |
Add / remove / reorder Phase | Yes | No |
Add / remove / reorder Step | Yes | No |
Add / remove Collaborator | Yes | Yes |

In practice, Project Owners are only able to modify workflows if they are assigned the Administrator or Manager roles at organization level.
Other improvements
Fixed an issue where Manager (Project Admin) was unable to preview files in other projects.
Collaborators are now automatically stopped from working on tasks marked as Paused, without needing a page refresh.
