Collecting Information With Additional Question
When using the E-signing external workflow, additional questions can be presented to the signer after completing the signature process. The information collected with these questions can also be saved back to the Salesforce record used when generating the document.
To configure the additional questions, navigate to the Signing section of the Settings.
Start be enabling the additional questions by toggling on the Enabled setting. The introduction field will be shown before the questions and can be used to provide instructions or information to the user.
The question can also have a pre-defined value set in the Default value EL field. The additional questions support different formats (text, number, email, date and checkbox) restricting the user's inputs.
When writing the data back to Salesforce, ensure that the question Type and Max length matches the type and length of the Salesforce field being used.
The Salesforce field which will store the entered information is set using the API name of the field. The information collected with the Additional Questions can only be saved back to the record being used during the document generation.
After the user has filled out the response(s) and clicks on Continue, the responses will be saved to Salesforce and the signed document will be delivered to the recipient and document owner. The information collected can also be included in the final email.
