Document Automation (API)

An API, or Application Programming Interface, refers to a set of rules and tools that allows different software applications to communicate with each other. In the context of Documill, an API can automate the document generation processes triggered by specific events. This allows for the seamless composition of one or multiple documents in the background, enabling users to focus on other tasks concurrently.

For example, a status change in a Salesforce Flow can trigger a document being generated and sent to a recipient with no human interaction required.

  • Asynchronous Processing: Dynamo API operates in an asynchronous manner, ensuring efficient document generation without disrupting users' workflow.

  • Background Trigger: The API enables the creation of documents through triggers in the back-end, allowing users to initiate document generation while concurrently engaging in other tasks.
